Public Service Performance Management Unit (PSPMU)

Functions

In line with the Executive Order No.2 of 2023 on the organization of the Government of the Republic of Kenya, PSPMU was accorded the following functions:

  1. Co-ordinating the institutionalization of Performance Management in the Public Service; and
  2. Monitoring and evaluating performance to ensure contracting parties are within the parameters of the agreed performance targets.

To be a center of excellence in promoting quality and accessible public services for a globally competitive nation.

To support, coordinate and facilitate performance management and measurement for effective service delivery and efficient utilization of public resources.

  1. To facilitate increased satisfaction with public services.
  2. To entrench a culture of accountability and transparency in public service management.
  3. To ensure sustainability of performance contracting system.
